Approved by the ICSA Board of Directors in 20013, the ICSA Women's Dinghy Championship was expanded to reflect and encourage the growth of women's sailing. The ICSA Women's Dinghy Championship now mirrors the Coed Championship with schools seeded evenly into two fleets of eighteen teams in the semifinal stage. The top nine teams from each semifinal regatta advance to the final round to compete for the Gerald C. Miller Trophy and the title of ICSA Women's Dinghy National Champions
