Approved by the ICSA Board of Directors in 2007, the ICSA Open Dinghy Championship was expanded to include thirty six schools competing in two stages. In the semifinal stage, schools are seeded evenly into two fleets of eighteen teams. The top nine teams from each semifinal regatta advance to the final round to compete for the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy and the title of ICSA Open Dinghy National Champions.
